Summary
We collect the minimum needed to run the service. We do not sell data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not ask for your platform credentials.
What we process
- URLs you submit. Required to perform the download.
- Job metadata. Status, progress, chosen format, and a timestamp, so the interface can report progress and history can work.
- IP address. Used transiently to apply rate limits and to investigate abuse. Rate-limit counters expire automatically.
- Server logs. Standard request logs, retained briefly for debugging and security.
What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or password.
- No credentials for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok.
- No third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- No payment data.
Retention
Downloaded files and their job records are deleted after the configured retention window, and an hourly job removes anything past it. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle.
Cookies
The downloader itself does not require cookies to function. See the cookie notice for the current position.
Legal basis and your rights
Where the GDPR applies, we process data on the basis of legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. See the GDPR page for how to exercise your rights.
Sharing
We do not share your data with third parties except where strictly necessary to operate the service, or where we are legally required to do so.
Security
Requests are validated against an allowlist of supported hosts before anything is fetched, and file retrieval is guarded against path traversal. No system is perfect; report concerns through the report abuse page.
