Frequently Asked Questions

Which platforms are supported?
YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok. Paste a link and the downloader detects the platform automatically, then shows only the qualities and formats that platform actually offers.
Why can't I pick 4K for TikTok or Instagram?
Because those platforms do not publish 4K. Offering the option would produce a silent fallback to a lower resolution, so the interface hides it and the server rejects it. YouTube is the only supported platform with a 4K and 8K ladder.
Which audio formats can I get?
MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, Opus, AAC and OGG, at 128, 192, 256 or 320 kbps, or at the best bitrate the source offers. FLAC and WAV are lossless containers, so they preserve what the source provides rather than adding quality that was never there.
Why does a download fail with a sign-in or bot message?
Some platforms restrict automated access from data-centre IP addresses and require a signed-in session. This tool deliberately does not log in on your behalf, so content behind that check cannot be fetched. Try a public video, or run your own instance from a residential connection.
Why do some Instagram or Facebook links fail?
Those platforms serve most content only to signed-in users. Public posts usually work; private accounts, age-restricted media and login-walled pages do not, and that is by design rather than a bug.
How long are files kept?
Finished files are deleted after a retention window, and an hourly job removes anything that has expired. Download what you need soon after the job completes.
Can I download a whole playlist?
On YouTube, yes. Enable "Download entire playlist" before submitting. Other platforms do not expose playlists in a way this tool can reliably enumerate, so the option is hidden for them.
Is there a limit on how much I can download?
Requests are rate limited per client to keep the queue fair for everyone. If you see a 429 response, wait a moment and try again.
Do you keep a record of what I download?
A short-lived job record is kept so progress and history work, and it is removed on the same schedule as the files. See the privacy policy for detail.
